Today we can announce the launch of Pollinate Orders — software to enable restaurants, pubs, and cafes to quickly turn on online order management for their customers.
This includes rapid upload of menus, workflow management tools, pick-up, and delivery options. Pollinate plans to roll out the solution to retail banks across the globe and it is currently available to a limited number of UK SME customers through Tyl by NatWest.
Pollinate Orders was developed and deployed in five weeks by a team working 100% remotely. The aim is to help small businesses keep trading during the COVID-19 pandemic as they adapt to the new normal and beyond.
Thousands of restaurants, pubs and cafes in the UK had to close their doors on 23rd March 2020 due to lockdown measures introduced by the UK Government in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. With the lockdown easing and plans to re-open in England on July 4th with significant social distancing measures in place, restaurant and cafe owners have been forced to quickly innovate and adapt , often taking their businesses online in order to survive. Pubs, cafes, and restaurants across have all signed up for the initial rollout, with many more to follow as the sector continues to adapt and recover as guidelines are eased by government over the next few months.
“The vast majority of small business owners are facing huge challenges and that includes those in the restaurant industry. New solutions like Tyl Order and our offer of free terminal rental in 2020, aim to help SMBs as they manage their businesses during this difficult time”
DAN SALANSON, CHIEF COMMERCIAL OFFICER AT TYL BY NATWEST
Tyl Order is initially available to a trial group of NatWest SME customers before being offered more widely across the UK, and is also being considered by banks Pollinate is working with in South Africa, Australia and Canada.
Fiona Roach Canning, from Pollinate adds: “Our long-standing partnership with NatWest meant we were able to quickly deploy a product that genuinely helps small businesses – both in the UK and overseas. It has been a privilege to create Pollinate Orders, and to help SMBs as they continue to navigate these changing times.”
